Vivan Los Elementos (Formerly Axé Didé)

axedide-performanceBased in Portland, Oregon under the direction of Donna Mation, Vivan Los Elemontos Music and Dance Company performs dynamic interpretations of sacred and secular dances from Cuba and Brazil. These passionate African-rooted traditions captivate audiences in the celebration of the many forces of nature. The groups adaptation of these styles gives a fresh and uplifting view of expression through history. Vivan Los Elementos calls forth this vibrant energy through a variety of dances ranging from the entrancing gods of fire, metal, and water to the celebratory and sexy movements of Samba. A full show would include approximately 5-15 dancers accompanied by live drumming and singing, further intensifying the experience of life force or Aché.

Vivan Los Elementos is available to play festivals, parties, and cultural events. They offer both musicians and dancers, just dancers or just musicians, depending on the show or requests from clients.

Bang Bang Boogie

Bang Bang Boogie brings you a fresh uplifting non-stop 20-30 minute set (or 2) of diverse street styles ranging from fiery Samba of Brazil to the brilliant illusion of Popping, the brilliance of vogue and the fierce power of Krump. Following we offer the option to share our styles with audiences using follow along with the basics of each style.

Directed by Donna Mation Bang Bang Boogie is a group of established seasoned dancers representing club & street dance styles from around the world. The group is constantly evolving, bringing a new show to each event. BBB performed at What the and Beloved. Bang Bang Boogie is also an event in and of itself offered throughout Portland, if you have never attended a dance competition, don’t miss the next BBB Jam!

Journey Brazil

This is a wonderful interactive show for children.  Shows are about 50 minutes long – can be shorter or longer, exploring the vast array of music and dance throughout Brazil.
